It has been ages since i last posted on this blog.. have been so busy and tired with work...haha.. would try to update more frequently....(although i always say that... but seldom do it...haha...)

Last Oct... mi and hubby went to ballot for a flat in Punggol BTO Project, Punggol Arcadia...guess what... in Jan, we were told that we managed to get a queue number for the flat... and the number was beri good... no.25... woots.... means our chances of selecting a nice flat beri high.... so... on 3rd March... we went to select our flat and we got one of our top choices.... the highest floor, with full length windows for all rooms... super nice nice...
and what's more... my sister Elise, also applied for this BTO, and she also selected a flat in the block just beside mine... hehe.....
looking forward to my future Home Sweet Home......

Last Sat, 28th Feb... my school went for a day trip to Desaru, Malaysia....not the beach... but to visit a fruit farm and an ostrich farm.. well... some parts of the trip were fun and entertaining, but some parts were quite unpleasant, due to negligence on the tour agency's part.

The day started with us assembling in school, then travelled to the Customs... then entered Malaysia... after which we were told by the tour guide that we were going to a biscuit factory... and i was like, Wow... we can go see biscuit manufacturing process...then ended up we only managed to reach the entrance where they set up tables to sell their products.....and we did not get to go in the factory at all.... it was a total disappointment...

but... it didn't end here.... next.. we were brought to Jusco Shopping Centre... where we reached at 10.30am... we were like... weee...shopping time... then the tour guide told us.. be back by 11.30am...... 1 hour for shopping?? what can we shop? only managed to walk the 1st level... and we were back in the bus le...heading for our lunch...

After lunch... we travelled one & a half hours to get to the fruit farm... the fruit farm guide took us around the farm, introducing different plants...now then i know that dragonfruit belongs to cactus family... lol...

but... i didn't know what fruits they intro-ed after that... cos... mi and few other close colleagues ventured off to find the washroom... and we stumbled on a mini-animal farm situated in the midst of the fruit farm.....

1stly... we saw this....

ever since a monkey doing a pole dance? well... take a look at this...

then next, we went to the goat barn...

and we started to feed the goats... they are so cute~~~~ the baby ones~~~

they r so lazy that they juz laid flat on their stomach... and they didn't move at all...

then nearby the rabbits... there were this young monkey, small and cute... and ya.. it was scratching its butt... lol...

but then, the monkey was quite violent... one of the rabbits went near it and it pulled the rabbit by the ears and dragged it towards it....and started to catch fleas for the rabbit... well... it had good intentions... but the way it handled the rabbit was so violent and rough.....

after catching the fleas, it did not let go of the rabbit, instead...it went to 'suffocate' the rabbit...

the caretaker there had to drag the rabbit away from the monkey....

after the fruit farm... we travelled another half an hour to the ostrich farm....

know what they say about the ostrich egg? the biggest, strongest and hardest egg? well it's true... proven by my HOD, who stepped on the egg and it didn't break...lol..... and to open an ostrich egg... u have to use a drill... omg....

the yolk is super super big lo... imagine how many omelettes u can cook with this... and imagine how long u would take to finish the egg on ur own.....

one of my colleagues' daughter went to try sitting on the ostrich.... and it seems fun... hehe...

and... i fed the ostrichs.... woots...and they do not bite... they peck only... but their peck not painful.. but a bit ticklish.... hehe....

After the ostrich farm... we travelled around 2 hours to get back to the restuarant we went for lunch to have our dinner... we were like... well even though the day didn't start off well... but the fruit farm and ostrich farm trip were quite entertaining... we thought our day would end off slightly more pleasant...

but then on our way back to school... instead of taking the expressway straight from the Customs back to our school... the bus driver took a long detour... and went to... Little India... and told us.. that we have to get down the bus to change to another bus... because he had to rush for another KL trip... we had to wait quite some time for the next bus to come.... get down the bus in the RAIN and with all our BARANG BARANG to change to the next bus...

OMG...what kind of service is this... lousy planning by the agency... itinery sucks... wasted most of our time travelling... and by detouring to Little India... they wasted so much of our time... if they could have just took the expressway back to our school, drop us off... then travel to Little India... it would be even faster.... boycott that agency...super lousy service.... lucky i had my cute department colleagues along with this trip... they made my day much more happier... despite the lousy service by the agency....

haben been updating my blog for ages... been beri beri lazy... haha.... well will try to post more in the coming year... which is juz hours away... hehe... a new year is starting again... hope this year would be a better year... and hope my new class of P6s for this new year will be ok...

hehe... my P6s 2008 did quite well for PSLE Chinese, so happy for them... from entry points of all Cs and Ds in P5... the whole class of 36 pupils achieved 20+ As and rest Bs in PSLE.. so proud of them!

actually got quite a lot to blog about.. but.. quite lazy... so guess i juz forget about it... wahaha... will blog more in future posts.. hehe....

school is starting again... holidays come and go so fast... that i dun feel it at all... hope i have enuff energy to deal with the coming year....wish mi good luck!

been down with flu since last monday... and my SIM exams started on wed... tomolo there's one more to go... haben been able to concentrate while studying due to my flu... feel so stressed up... think i might juz fail the exams... and got some bad news from my head... which makes mi feel quite demoralized ... maybe i'm really not suitable for teaching line... maybe i should juz quit this job.... when did my life become such a mess... have to juggle so many things and yet none goes well... i'm juz a loser.. i guess....

my 1st batch of P6 students are gonna start their written exams in a few hours time... quite worried for them.... “皇帝不急，太监急”... haha... actually really love this P6 class of mine.... although there are times they do ...ahem.. "irritate" mi... but most of the times, i'm really happy to teach them....

i know some of them do actually read my blog.. ahem... so juz wanna wish them GOOD LUCK for their PSLE exams, hope they will do exceptionally well, esp for CHINESE... heehee... ^.^

Yesterday, mi,Hubby,my mum, sisters, Elise and Kacia, Elise's bf, David...as well as Min, jason, min's colleague went down to Chinese Garden. This year, Chinese Garden's Lantern Festival theme is Hello Kitty & Sanrio Characters... As Hubby managed to get discounted tickets, decided to go see see ... lotsa cute cartoon lanterns... hehe... well.. will let the pictures do the talking....

Teachers' Day~~

My school celebrated Teachers' Day on 29th Aug... prior to that.. some students asked mi.. what presents do i like... seriously speaking... i just wan my students to be able to get good grades, be attentive in class and be good.... just that simple... some people may think i'm just being corny here... but this is what i seriously think and feel...

i always tell my students that they are not studying for anione... but for themselves... i can help them in academic areas... but the willingness to learn, the drive to excel has to come from them themselves.... this time round... i see improvement in my P6 class grades... but i still quite worried for them... as some of them are still hovering there... i just hope they get good grades in PSLE... I noe they feel stressed by mi and i give them a lot of work... but it's just that i see that there are still some potential in them.. they can do even better...i just wanna see happy faces during PSLe results day...

Aniway...here's the presents i got from my kids... beri sweet of them... hehe...

i'm having a beri bad sore throat now... painful, no voice and feeling terrible... having fever hits on and off.. but i can't take medical leave... been falling sick too much this year... i wonder what happened to mi... before i started teaching.. i seldom fall sick... now.. ani little virus is strong enuff to "harm" mi.. fever bouts, flu, gastric flu, sore throats seems to love mi these days...

it's been almost 1 and a half mths since i last blogged... been beri lazy to update my blog as well as upload my photos.. and was quite bz also... hehe... so here's a short and brief update... shall start with the latest updates 1st...

Apple iPhone was launched officially in Sg by Singtel on the 22nd... didn't book it online.. but wanted to go down and check out the phone but... was sick on that day... so decided to go down the next day 23rd Aug, which was Saturday... but had to go back to school in the morning for P3 GEP... after P3 GEP, went with Hsuping to Toa Payoh to have lunch... while waiting for Hubby to finish the 7th mth praying at his workplace, as well as wait for Min and Jason to off work...

Managed to reach Hello@ Comcentre at ard 6+, was told that only pre-bookings were entertained.. and if i wanted to get it.. i had to pay a deposit to make a reservation...the counter was quite full then... so was debating whether to get the iPhone or not... then after some thought , decided to make my way to the cashier counter to pay the deposit...then upon arriving at cashier counter (which was suddenly beri empty).... the sales lady decided to let me get the phone on the spot ... was quite surprised then.. lol..cos i was told at information counter than i need to wait 2 weeks to 1 mth for the phone...

waited quite some time for our queue number to be called... hehe... used Hubby's hp line to recontract.. cos no need to pay for the 8gb iPhone... cos Hubby's hp bill was one of those higher end plans, and his contract also expired le... Thanks Hubby... but in the end... i took the 16gb one for 49 dollars, cos i wanted the white one... hehe.... wee~~~ iPhone.... Thank Hubby once again~~~and yep... i'm a 幸福“小”女人.... ^.^
took my TP driving test on 14th Aug...Min took it the same day also... but sad to say... both of us didn't clear it the 1st time... haiz... Min failed due to some carelessness in the circuit... as well as the tester beri niao... =X ... as for mine.. due to some unfriendly drivers on the road... haiz failed too... but nvm... hope i will clear it the 2nd time round.... i hope... *_*

and... following the demise of my PSP last mth... my camera decided to give up on mi a few weeks ago too... haiz... observe the pic below... the camera lcd was spoiled... on the inside of the screen... yet on the surface of the camera screen, there was no breakages... muz have been due to pressure exerted on the surface... that's the risky thing about touch screen cameras... the lcd is beri fragile... was informed that repairing of the lcd is beri exp... so decided to give up and get a new one le...

and ta-daaa~~ my new Casio Exilim S10... one of the slimmest camera available.. Min got this same camera too... her's red... and i got the limited white colour... and.. this is fully sponsored once again by Hubby~~~ hehe... i'm a 幸福“小”女人..... haha... notice the punctuation marks? lol... cos i'm not small in size..... wahahaha....28th July was Hubby's B-day, but as it was a Monday.. decided to pre-celebrate it for him on the weekend before... booked Golden Village Gold Class tickets to The Dark Knight for Hubby.. he always wanted to try out the Gold Class Cinemas, but didn't get a chance...
the cinema beri beri cosy... the chairs are so nice.. service is good.. throughout the few hours of movie.. was totally enjoying the experience... comfortable , gd sound system , excellent service and can order wine, food, drinks even during the show.. but at a cost of cos... juz this Gold Class experience cost about $100+++... lol..

and.. also booked the Singapore Flyer tickets for Hubby... wanted to go with him when it 1st started.. but ended up going with my sch.. but Hubby wanted to go... so decided to give him a surprise.... hehe...

Min intro-ed this Senki Japanese Restaurant, located at Kiliney Road, opp the Lee Wei Song Music School... not a bad place.. this restaurant does buffet ala-carte japanese food... and the food quite nice... but every time u order, the food comes in beri small serving, for example u order 1 serving of sushi.. it's one piece... 1 serving of noodles... it's a small little bowl... as shown in the pic below...and 1 serving of chicken = 1 piece... so customers here tend to order a lot of servings.. so dun be too shocked if u hear customers ordering "a lot" of food....

After i "murdered" my psp... was quite handicapped and sad without it from a week.. but... Hubby bought mi a new psp yesterday! 1 of my fav colours.. rose pink! was thinking to get the rose pink or mint green colour.. in the end.. got pink instead... i love it... ! Thanx a lot to Hubby for buying mi a psp once again... only that this time... he "sternly" "warned" mi not to murder it again... LOL...

yes... my pink psp has offically 'died'... due to my carelessness... and now.. it's lying lifelessly on the table... haiz... this psp was a b-day present by Hubby last yr... and now.. it's 'dead'... my days will be super boring without it..

it accompanied mi thru long journeys on the road with entertaining games...

it provided mi with visual entertainment by letting mi catch up with all the recent dramas and variety shows on the go...

it serenaded mi with lovely music while i hummed and sang along with in preparation for ktv sessions...

it allowed mi to connect to the world of internet and search for information with wireless access...

omg.. i can't even how boring my life gonna be without it... now... a last look at it... R.I.P

my 1st SIM exam results..

i got my results today! remember that i was lamenting about my SIM lecturer, complaining about how low her assignments were... well... it seems she really did pull down most of our grades... T.T but lucky i think my exams were not that bad.. but still, as the weightage of the exam marks and assignments were 50% each.. the assignments still pulled down my grade...

Results: B- ( this the module which the lecturer gave low assignment grades)

Thinking with Mathematics
Results: A+ ( this was a piece of cake.. as maths has always been my forte area, and i cleared the exam beri fast.. was the 1st to leave the room)

Overall.. quite happy.. but still lamenting over the B-... lol... dun worry.. i be ok in a while.. juz let mi whine and grumble for the moment... LOL...

Yesterday, our sch had our end of June Hols staff meeting ... and i was informed that i was to be a cooperating teacher (CT) for a NIE trainee teacher(TT)... means i have to guide her along... a bit stressed sia... lol.. but hope i can help her...lol...

after a whole day of meeting... Mother Tongue Chinese Department went for a gelling makan and farewell dinner session for 2 of our colleagues at JUMBO seafood at serangoon gardens... it was a treat by our HOD... and the food was really nice... it's been quite some time since the whole department sat down in such a relaxed ambience.. chatting and having dinner away... quite like this feeling..

but.. beri sad that 2 of our colleagues are leaving us for greener pastures..will definitely miss them a lot...esp Klera.. she has been a great help and friend-mentor ever since i entered this sch... hope the 2 of them will have a wonderful time in their new schs...

my belated birthday trip~~

Hubby got mi a Bangkok shopping trip as a b-day gift.. was beri happy to get away from SG during the hols.. and the trip was fully sponsored.. however due to work commitments... he could only get away only after 11/6, so we went for the trip from 12/6 to 17/6.... and we booked the hotel quite late... so in the end couldn't get the hotel we wanted...had to settle for another hotel... but we were quite skeptical about this other hotel... it's like... all the other hotels fully booked... then this one still have vacancies.. ahem... weird weird de... =X

Thursday - 12/6

We left SG at ard 10.55am in the morning and reached the hotel at ard 2+pm BKK time... the hotel lobby looks normal... but the hotel was situated right inside a small lane.. then we checked in... got the keys.. and went to the room.. the room was not well lit.. however it was quite spacious..clean toilet etc... After settling in... then mi and Hubby set off to MBK shopping center... the last time we came to BKK... our hotel was within walking distance to MBK.. so this time.. we decided to try walking again... but then... it's so far and hot... after reaching MBK... i was totally hot and flustered... and it was decided... for these few days...i will not walk to MBK animore... it's either tuk-tuk or taxi for mi le...

after reaching MBK... we went to walk walk... then settled for our meal at Oishi Teppanyaki... we had the teppanyaki the last time we came to BKK.. and i really missed the taste... hehe... so nice.. but then .. was bz eating and forgot to take pics again... after eating... we went walk walk again... and then back to the hotel for resting... cos was quite tired after the plane ride... i will cry and sniffer on the plane... cos... when it goes up or lands.. the air pressure will make mi feel beri not well.. and migraines will "seek" for mi...

Friday - 13/6

We woke up quite late in the morning... and we missed the breakfast... but aniway... went thru reviews of the hotel, the breakfast was not that good though... so missed also nvm.. haha... we walked to Platinum Wholesale center which was fortunately quite near our hotel... along the way.. we experienced BKK famous traffic jams ..sometimes i quite admire BKK drivers... their drving techniques... can be quite power sometimes.. no matter how small the lane.. they can also squeeze thru...and they can zip in and out of traffic so smoothly... if u can drive in bangkok.. i think u can drive aniwhere in the world... LOL

and 1 thing i like about BKK? the cabs are so bright and colourful... purple.. green.. blue... and pink! i wan pink cabs in SG too... LOL
after reaching Platinum...we wanted to have lunch.. but then... couldn't stand the smell lingering in the food court... so ended up eating KFC...then we went ard to shop shop for the whole afternoon.... Platinum has 5 storeys for shopping... and it's really big... each storey has lotsa shops... after combing 3 storeys... i was beri tired... decided to take a short rest... and we ended up at Swenson's... and ordered ice cream.. hehe... to battle the hot weather... and we slacked there for a while...

After resting... we went back to comb the remaining 2 storeys... and bought more things again... then we went back to the hotel.. put our things.. and went back to the hotel cafe for dinner... and i ordered a tom yum set... hoping for nice and spicy tom yum soup.. but then... 1st tom yum disappointment for the trip.... T.T

Saturday - 14/6

Yup.. we woke up late again... nvr eat breakfast again... today.. we went to Chatuchak Market... it's like a pasar malam.. but large scale one... the whole place was so big.. and built like a maze... we didn't even noe where we were walking... was zipping in and out of the different lanes...

After Chatuchak... we went back to MBK for dinner again... ya.. decided to settle all my meals at MBK.. cos i weak stomach... eat those roadside stalls.. will "lao sai" de... lol... and we settled down at this Hongkong cafe... lol... eating in a HK cafe in Bangkok.. i muz be real crazy then... lol

tom yum soup... frenz who noe mi noes i'm a big fan of tom yum soup... and the spicer and sour it is... the happier i am.. and i tot i could get authentic tom yum soup in BKK...after the not so nice tom yum in the hotel cafe.. i tot i could get nice one here... but.. got disappointed again.... the tomyum was not spicy at all... and i asked for extra spicy.. haiz... 2nd tom yum disappointment...

Sunday - 15/6

BKK weather is really hot... and as i couldn't go under the sun for too long.. as i have eczema...so... we ended back at MBK AGAIN... ya.. i noe.. lame rite... go BKK keep go same place.. but i like the shopping environment in MBK lo... we went to take a queue number for this Shabu Shabu restaurant... this restaurant looks power sia.. for the few days we had our dinner at MBK, this restaurant is always full of people and lotsa people queuing outside... and we waited for more than an hour before we got our seats...

see the queue number? after dinner, we decided to do something.. we went to watch movie!.. we decided to catch The Incredible Hulk in the cinema at MBK...the cinema tickets for weekend beri cheap... 1 person 5 bucks nia...

The cinema was not bad.. big and spacious and the seats are quite comfortable... and can see that the Thai really respect their king a lot.. before the start of the movie.. we had to stand up and pay tribute to the king.. and they will show a short video clip of the king... after which then can start the movie...

Monday - 16/6

Today's the 2nd last day of our trip...as usual.. we did not go breakfast again... and we ended back in Platinum wholesale center to get some last min souvenirs...after that... we went to MBK for dinner... didn't take much pics ... cos lazy to whip out my cam...

We went to this Jap restaurant in MBK for our dinner... and we ordered sake.. cos the sake beri cheap... lolthere was a lot of food on the menu.. and we couldn't decide what to eat... cos all seems beri nice... lol...

Seafood fried udon.. this one not bad.. i quite like it...~ Beef sukiyaki.. this was quite a disappointment, the soup was not hot enuff.. juz warm.. the egg couldn't cook... then it looks "blah"...

Tuesday - 17/6

today's the day to end the trip and back to SG... and after that.. work starts again... it's gonna be a hectic semester again.. this time round we finally went for the hotel breakfast ... after which we checked out.. and went off to BKK international airport... our flight was to depart at 4.45pm BKK time and to reach SG at 8.05 SG time...

After checking in with the flight counter... we went into transit and walked walked around and took our lunch... and for the last time.. i ordered tom yum again... but then... 3rd DISAPPOINTMENT!.. omg.. i can't believe 3 times i ate tomyum in BKK... and 3 times it failed mi... T.T

After touching down in SG, we went back to my house... and decided to take a pic of Hubby wif all the luggage.. looks as though he kena tortured... LOL... no la.. i got help carry de... heehee...

yup... i'm officially older again on 6/6 ... Haiz... getting old le... old.. fat & ugly... die la...how how? sobss.... T.T

Met Ivy, Dennis & Baha on the 5/6 for a KTV session... so long no see them le... missed my Ivy aiai a lot... Wahahah....

Then on the following day.....which was my B-day, i was rotting at home while waiting for Hubby to off work.. he couldn't take off that day due to work commitments.. so can only meet him in the evening... but he made up for it by planning a b-day trip to Bangkok for mi.. and it's a fully sponsored trip... hehe.. Thanx Hubby...

On 7/6, then met up with frenz to celebrate my belated b-day... we went to K-box for another KTV session... yaya... i'm a KTV freak.. and we went for the K-box dinner buffet as well... halfway through eating... Hubby suddenly disappeared... and appeared with a b-day cake for mi... Thx Hubby...

then on the 10/6, Jeanette wanted to go for a make-up lesson... since Make Up Store's fees paid could be used to exchange for make-up...decided to go along with her and "顺便" get new make-up... since my current makeup like my foundation couldn't be used animore... due to over-exposure to the sun during my sch P5 camp... i got very tanned...

as it was a one-on-one session... Min went 1st.. and i managed to get her a before pic... hehe....
but she opted for beri light day make-up... and this was the outcome....not bad though...
As for mi.. i decided to go for something more suited for both day & nite...so i got this.. at least it hides my pimples & dark eye-circles... haha.. can cover those 2 serious probs , i happy enuff... hehe...

This is a beri backdated post... should have blogged about it long ago... but was just too lazy to upload the pictures.....My school staff went on the Singapore Flyer for a Time-out Session (Gelling Session) on Tuesday,20/5... Actually wanted to take the 1st ride wif Hubby.. but then the SWC committee in our school was much faster than mi... lol.. was telling Hsuping that i "sacrificed" my 1st time on the Flyer to be with her... hehe...

i'm down with fever and flu... and here i am , still blogging away....

had my AZS1031 Introduction to the Humanities I exam today... but fell sick during the day... met Hsuping to go to SIM early to study.. then during the afternoon suddenly felt beri sick.. so took a short nap... then my fever started to accelerate during dinner time... so took some panadol before going into the exam hall... but by then... was already in a state of blurness... i guess was too feverish le... couldn't think properly... finished the 3hrs paper in 2 hrs time... and then submitted the paper and went out for some fresh air... hope i clear this paper... despite the fact that i was in a state of blurness when i took it... haiz...

my 1st exam in SIM

i'm gonna have my 1st exam from SIM in ard 15 hrs time.. at 7pm... Thinking with mathematics.. hmm hope i score for this.. since maths has been my forte area since sch days... but then.. returned quite a lot to my previous teachers le.. have to do some reading up 1st... hehe... but aiming for full marks for this... Wahahaha... my next exam is in the coming week... next tuesday... this next exam is the one that i really worry about... haiz... but shall take 1 step at a time...and pray for the best..

my best bud, Min's dad juz passed away on Sun early morning... he had been struggling with liver cancer for the past 2-3 yrs le... but recently he has been in and out of the hospital, and then.. haiz.. went down to the funeral... although can see Min trying to be relaxed about it.. but i noe she muz have felt real sad inside.. i noe the pain of losing one's loved ones... hope both her and her mum can tide over this...

recently, people ard mi have been talking about getting married... my sis is getting ROM in dec.. and BP and Khim gonna hold their wedding next year... i guess at my age... most people are already married or having plans le ba... lol... this also means... i gonna get broke soon le... with so many red bombs throwing here and there... LOL

i juz finished marking my p3 and p4 exam papers... haiz.. my p3s are really weak... muz think of ways to help them... but it seems like the whole level of P3 students are weak... or should i say.. the gd ones are really gd.. but juz a small bunch... the weak ones are beri beri weak.. and it constitutes a large portion.. haiz... how to help them? my p4 did quite satisfactory, except for 2 of them who failed..

as for my p6s, i haben see their results yet... but.. while scanning the oas scripts on Tues... i started to worry again... seeing their mcq results so low.. i wonder how would they do for section B... haiz.. i really worry for my class of P6s... i noe some of them are trying.. but some of them.. simply dun care... i really hope they can do well for their PSLE... if not.. how are they gonna go to a gd sec sch... i want to help them.. but sometimes.. i feel my efforts are going down the drain...when will they understand that whatever they are doing is for their own future... haiz.. i guess they dun sense the urgency of being a P6 student, of taking PSLE exams....

aniway... enuff of my whining.. gonna go be piggy le... since it's already 4.30am...

As some of u may know... i'm taking my part time degree now... this is my 1st year at it.. or should i even say... the 1st semester... and i'm getting real demoralized... I'm taking English with Psychology.. this semester i'm only taking 2 modules... 1 core and 1 ucore(online module)..

but i'm really sick and tired of this... we have 1 assignment due on the last thursday of every month for 3 months, which makes it 3 assignments for juz 1 module.. and u have to take an exam.. but is ok.. i can live with that... but what really demoralized mi is my tutorial lecturer... she is so stingy with her assignment marks that it pulled down the whole tutorial class average...

the 1st assignment... whole class average marks = 59.. i got a 67, which was a B... i was already beri demoralized... cos i did the assignment together with Hsuping... our pts were similar.. but she got 75 marks... an A.. and yes.. she was in another tutorial group with another lecturer... and her class average marks was 60+++!

but.. nvm.. i decided to work harder for the 2nd assignment... but.. guess what again.. this time round ... Hsuping got her marks 1st... she got 80(wow!), and her class average marks was 75... but my class again? i went into the website... hoping to see a more hopeful mark... but seems there was some problem with the website.. could not see my marks.. but could see the class average marks.. i took a look.. and totally felt hopeless... my class average marks was 57!!!

after seeing this.. my heart sank to the pit... and guess what.. i got 60 marks for this 2nd assignment... and the same thing goes again.. my points were similar to Hsuping's but.. a diff of 20 marks?? if i'm the only one getting this kind of marks.. maybe i'm really lousy.. but class average of 57 marks? more than 2/3 of the people in my tutorial class are english teachers... how could this be?

it seems the other tutorial groups did farely well too.. only my tutorial group had this kind of marks... then after asking around.. realized that my tutorial lecturer is beri stingy with her marks... and her previous tutorial groups encountered the same experience... the class voiced out to her about this.. and she said she will compensate for it.. how is she gonna compensate? or make up for it? the marks are already in... what else can she do?

so now.. does that mean assignment marks are not based on what u wrote? it seems to mi that it's based on which lecturer u get... so it's basically luck.. isn't it? then i muz be real unlucky.... there's no standization of the marking at all.. we juz have to see our luck... pray we get the more lenient lecturer in order to get a good grade... i put in so much effort for my assignments... and i think the same goes for my tutorial mates... but what did we gain in the end?? my next assignment is due tomolo.. and i simply dun feel like doing it... why? no matter how hard i try.. i will juz end up with a lousy grade... life is unfair...

and guess what.. my p6 class is not trying to put in effort for their exams.. i tried to help them.. practice oral, exam papers with them.. but.. their attitude is simply dun-care... yes they will do their homework.. but.. u can feel that they simply dun care about their exams... dun bother to listen to u... u see them looking at u during lessons.. but somehow u noe... their minds are elsewhere...

i am really worried for them and i really hope they do well for their exams.. not for anyone.. but themselves... but it seems to mi... they dun even wan to work hard themselves.. tried talking to them quite a few times.. but it seems my advice juz went down the drain.. everytime i tried to talk to them.. i feel so dejected... maybe it's juz mi? maybe i really suk at being a teacher.. maybe i should juz quit teaching...

i went for my basic theory test today.... started the test at 6.45pm... came out at 6.53pm.. took only 8 mins to clear the test... lol.... i was the 1st to leave the room... hehe....
i booked my final theory on 29th april... hehe... hope to clear it one shot too... gonna go get my PDL and start my practical lessons le... ^.^

time really passes beri fast... was down at the cemetry yesterday midnight to pay respects to my grandparents and my dad... and suddenly realized.. it's been almost 17 years since my dad passed away... such a long time.. enuff for my youngest sis of 3 yrs old then to grow up till 20 yrs old now... enuff for us to survive thru the hardest periods of our family life...

when dad passed away... i was only 10yrs old.. yet i had to share the burden with my mum.. both my sisters were too young to even understand the meaning of death.... dad was the sole breadwinner and mum had a hard time trying to adjust to working life after that.. and she had to cope with work, 3 kids at home.. as well as curb her missing of dad... it was really a very hard period to get thru... but we managed to ... somehow...

i remember when i finished o'levels and went to work parttime b4 going to poly... was working in an arcade centre... then by clocking lotsa OT hrs..managed to earn quite a bit everymth.. but mum happened to lose her job then... then my pay became the only source of income to manage the family.. then when i went on to poly... managed to get a bank loan for my studies.. and continued to work part time... then on to NIE...

life has finally improved for us....after so long... it was quite hard though... but i think this made mi more tough and independent in the process...sometimes.. mum relies on mi as her support and i have to be strong enuff to be there for her... but there are times which we quarrelled and had problems... but there are inevitable.. no matter what happens... she's my mum and i do love her... just as the same goes to my dad... although not around... i really miss him a lot... sometimes i would lament in my heart... why my dad is taken from us... but nothing can be done...i think my sisters and i share the same thought now..

my wushu baobeis competed in the National Inter-Primary Wushu Competition and went thru 7 days of competition since 24th of March... and we came back with 12 individual awards ( 1 gold, 5 silvers and 6 bronzes) and 4 group awards ( 1 silver and 3 bronzes)... and we got 4th in the National Senior Division Top 4!

Hehe... i think my blog becoming a monthly blog le.. no time to update... and even when i have time to update.. always lazy to do so .. hehe.... time past beri fast... so fast that it's already the 2nd term in school... as usual, work has been beri hectic... and my sim assignments are killing mi too...

during the march 1 week hols, went to pick ah gal go for shopping and makan... we went to Bishan Junction 8 then to AMK Hub.. at AMK Hub basement, she saw....

This~~ and she wanted to sit on it.. and since only 2 dollars, so let her go ahead..
Actually it was juz moving about in the basement... nothing much .. but she was really happy about it... lol

Then last last Saturday... met up wif Min, Khim and Bp for Hotpot dinner at Marina Square... poor Jason had to go for reservice.. couldn't join us...

Each one of us had a mini hotpot to ourselves.. not bad wo... i took my fav tom yum soup of cos...although it wasn't spicy and sour enuff.. T.T

This Hotpot Culture at Marina Square not bad.. service quite ok... actually while we were at the buffet table taking some food.. one of the staff actually overturned the soup at our area.. none of us were hurt... neither were our stuff.. but they were so polite about it.. that they gave us drinks on the house as well as a 10% off the bill... talk about service!

Then last week.. mi and Hubby went to Raffles City Basement... and went into this Marche-Like Japanese restaurant.. Shokudo Japanese Food Bazaar... hehe... aniway.. it operates similiar to Marche only that it's all jap food... quite nice... we had our lunch there....

After eating i saw this... so cute rite?... and it was a guy who drove it.. lol... i'm gonna go learn driving le... and gonna get a small little car of my own.. so that can travel to SIM for lessons more easily....

Last week was one of my most hectic weeks... had to go to sch in the morning and then got to bring my Wushu baobeis for competitions in the afternoons for the whole week.. and we ended beri late everyday... There is still 1 more session on Monday.. and the finals on this coming Friday... i really love my wushu baobeis.. so sad that some of them going to graduate this year... they are always up to mischief.. yet.. they brighten my day up... and most of the times.. they make mi really happy to see them... especially when they won and i knew that their hard work had paid off... but when they lost.. i feel sad too.. as i know they really trained hard... it's not easy...

Haben been updating my blog for quite some time... cos beri bz wif work and my part time degree studies.. hehe... having my march hols break now... not really a break though... have to go back to sch most of the days... today happened to be one of the days that i didn't need to go back... but i went out also...

went out during late afternoon today to meet Hsuping and Diana as Hsuping got tickets for the movie "Horton"... Hubby managed to get to the cinema in time for this movie... beri nice cartoon and is educational as well.. parents should bring kids to see this movie...

Now.. for my updates... on Valentine's day... i had to go for this stupid course... really spoiled V-day's mood... aniway.. Hubby and I was planning for something simple.. juz a dinner.. hehe... we went to Vivo City and wanted to find a nice restaurant to have dinner... but then all the restaurants fully booked or packed with people.. in the end.. we settled for Asian Kitchen...

Chinese dept went down to JUMBO restaurant at Serangoon Gardens for dinner... treated by one of our colleagues, Miss Chua... not mi la... we had a beri nice dinner lo.. food beri nice.. and there was so much food... everyone was bloated after the meal.. hehe...

While waiting for food... we started to take pics again...~ it's a long time since we gathered like this for a nice meal... as we couldn't see each other much in sch.. due to different sessions... and timetables... as well as we sit so far from each other in the office.... but a few colleagues leaving soon to other schools... quite sad though... as they are really nice colleagues... simply love my colleagues.... ^.^

Hehe... those people who noes mi noes that i super love to sing KTV... a big KTV fanatic i am... been meeting up with KTV Club Forum's frenz for KTV sessions almost every sun afternoon.... Just last sun.. we met up again for a CNY KTV gathering... and that's like only 2 days after my KTV outing wif Wisersalcove de frenz...

After the outing, we went to Food Republic @ Wisma to eat dinner... by then my throat wasn't feeling too well le... somemore... felt a bit not well... then the next day... tio fever in the morning... went to see the doc... and realized i got flu.... and was on MC on Monday... right after the CNY 4-day break... T.T

Today was supposed to go attend lessons @ SIM de... but then ... Hsuping, my frenz taking the same course as mi... was on MC today... and was not able to attend the evening lecture... then i decided not to go also... as dun wanna attend the lecture alone... will listen to the recorded lecture online... hehe....

So... since not going for the evening lecture... suddenly got craving to eat dim sum ... esp Xiao Long Bao... so called up Jeanette... we met up at Chinatown Yum Cha... only to realize... CNY period... no high tea buffet... so sianz... cannot enjoy my Xiao Long Bao happily... T.T

After having dim sum... we went down to Sim Lim Square to check out cameras, as Jeanette's bf, Jason wanted to get her a camera as V-day gift... was actually looking for Sony at 1st... then i saw this Casio Exilim Red Camera... super chio lo... the design and colour was so elegant... then i immediately "psychoed" Jeanette to buy this camera ( see below)... it's super nice lo... i like the design... hehe....

Nice rite? then hor.. the uncle attending to us took out a leather casing ( part of the package) which was so not nice lo... then i managed to "psycho" the uncle until he gave in to give another leather casing which was so much nicer... then i also kept bargaining with the uncle... i think he super beh tahan mi... Wahahaha~~~

CNY Day 1

Went to my Grandpa's house to 拜年 and to meet up with relatives from my mum's side ... Poor grandpa has been not in beri gd health for quite long le... and he looked beri frail and weak... and he even had problems recognizing us... haiz...

After spending some time at grandpa's house... Hubby came over and joined us and we went over to my 4th aunt's house and spent the rest of the day there... met up with relatives from my dad's side... and oh my... those "little" cousins of mine.. had grown so much over the years... sometimes.. i keep thinking that they are still beri young... only to realize they are around my youngest sis's age...

But hor.. 1 scary thing is... as they are getting older.. it also means... i'm getting older also!! OMG.... i'm offically going late 20s this year... so old le... T.T

after hanging around at my 4th aunt's place... we left in the evening... and mi and Hubby went down to Tampines to watch movies... We actually booked the tics for Ah Long Pte Ltd at 11.55pm, but we still had a few hrs b4 the show... then we managed to get tics for Kungfu Dunk last min at 8.45pm... hehe... both the shows not bad wo.. quite nice... esp that Mark Lee was so hillarious in Ah Long Pte Ltd... lol... enjoy the trailers below...

CNY Day 2

Went to meet up with Maple WisersAlcove guild members for CNY gathering + ktv session... so happy to see them again ever since the last outing... had a great time crooning away in ktv... and so pai seh.. let them suffer under my "crowing" voice... hehe....

After ktv... they went for dinner and i went over to my 2nd aunt's house to meet relatives... after spending some time there... we left ard 11pm ... then mi, Kacia (youngest sis), Elise (2nd sis) and David ( Elise's bf) went down to AMK Hub to meet up wif Hubby to watch Chang Jiang 7 by Stephen Chow... the fluffy CJ 7 is so KAWAII~~~ omg.. can i have that soft toy pls? it's so cute... esp the part in the movie where it was doing all the different facial expressions... so cute!! i wan CJ 7 soft toy!!

It's Friday again~~ simply love Fridays... cos it's the end of the week~~ rest time finally! i wan more Fridays~~!

after a hectic day @school today... i went home to bath... which after i went to meet up with Min & Sylvia for a gals' outing.... met up with them @Liang Courts Macdonalds and had dinner... after which we went to walk walk ard... looking for somewhere nice...

after walking around aimlessly for quite some time.. we finally ended up at this Mid-Eastern style pub, Murrakesh. Actually i had been there before... and found the place not bad, so the 3 of us went into the pub and got nicenice sofa seats... hehe... we ordered some special house cocktails...we ordered 3 different ones and shared it together...

Former Virgin~~After ordering the drinks... we started to play around with our phone cameras and started to take pics ... being "zi lian" or simply.. cam-whoring... lol... Mi & Min~~ Sylvia & Min~After enuff fooling around with our cams.. we started to chit chat... gals' talk etc.. ya.. and of cos.. gossip~~! lol... then we ordered the Moroccan Hot Wings as we were feeling peckish for a snack.. and as the nite went on... we realized that Sylvia was getting drunk.. her alchohol tolerance level really low sia... her face was red from the alcohol.. and her eyes were getting dreamy...

Then.. we decided to call her guy to come and fetch her home... as we were living in the opp direction as her...waited around 30 mins for her guy to reach... and hor... her guy really "mutou" one.. we told him Sylvia was drunk...and it was so obvious.. he could have juz put his hand around her to support her... but then he juz let her walk alone without support... really "mutou" one.. but maybe cos they juz got together.. still shy shy? hehe... but one thing to credit him.. he was concerned enuff to come down and fetch her... hehe...

After handing Sylvia over to her guy.. mi and Min went to walk walk around for a little while.. then decided to go home... since we had commitments the next day... i had to be in sch for CCA... the nite ended sort of early.. but had fun though.. looking forward to meeting the gals again... ^.^

oh ya.. forgot to mention... i cut my hair short... >.<

Sch has reopened for almost 3 weeks... and i had been almost buried by the loads and loads of work that came in... Being in the morning session didn't do much help either... still not beri accustomed to the early mornings...and although in morning session.. haben been able to return home early.. been working from 7+am to near 7 pm almost everyday...

My classes this year not so bad... taking p3,p4 and p6... my p3 class pupils are quite blur... had to remind them things again and again.. and had to be a bit fierce with them.. cos some of them quite mischevious.. lol.. my p4s are quite cute...same goes to my p6s...really enjoy going into class ... hehe...

Last last saturday.. mi and hubby went to this Korean BBQ buffet at Suntec City... the restaurant name is SHILLAWON.....

Recently met up wif some of my maple guild de people for a maple outing... our guild leader even bought his kids along... they are so cute~~

Just a few days ago... i went to cut my hair... SHORT... sort of a impulse decision... but been harpering on the thought for quite long le.... juz wanted some change since i been having the same hair style for quite long le....hehe... so dun be shocked if u see mi...

i miss my hubby a lot... he's been so busy in his work recently...so haben been meeting him much ... poor baby has been given a lot of extra responsibilities and duties... and i noe he's quite stressed up in work.... how i wish i can help him... but then... guess the only thing i can do is to be there for him...

For a start... Happy 2008 to all of u out there... may all ur wishes come true~~ ^.^

2007 has been quite a ok year for mi... although not really that fantastic, but well... still manageable... since 2008 is already here... juz hope this new year will be better than the previous... that's juz my wish for this time round~.. hehe

People tend to make new year resolutions , but how many resolutions do people actually achieve? Like mi.. i tend to make quite a few resolutions at the start of the year, but then towards the end of the year... i realized.. i achieved almost none... so this year round... no resolutions... juz take things as they go... hehe... i think this suits my character more..

towards the last few days of the 2007, i started to get "withdrawal" symptoms.. hehe.. "phobia" of sch reopening~~~ lol... not exactly phobia.. juz that can't get myself to believe my holidays are almost over... and work is starting again... i "rotted" thru-out my holidays and almost "decomposed"... Some people might think i'm wasting my time.. but.. sometimes, the feeling of juz slacking at home is priceless..

however... as much as i dread to end my holidays, i'm also looking forward to a new year.. and new challenges in work... i'll be in the morning session this year... and THAT is a big challenge to mi... ever since starting teaching in my present school.. i had been in floating session... that is i reach at ard 9+am, end ard 4-5+pm... this session is best for mi.. as people ard mi noes that i'm a nite creature... that is i sleep ard wee hrs in the morning... but starting this year... i have to wake up by 6am every morning... gosh.. this is the ultimate challenge for mi... *_*

this year, i'll be taking 3 lvls, pri 3, 4, 6... i wanted to take lower pri... but then i will be taking part time courses at SIM starting this year... so cannot take afternoon sessions... this year will be quite a challenging year... as all 3 lvls are a new challenge to mi.. been teaching, 1,4,5 for the past few years... not so familiar wif pri 3 and 6 syllabus.. somemore... pri 3 and 4 had a change of syllabus this year... means.. i'm not familiar with the syllabus of all the 3 lvls that i'm taking this year...

Gosh... hope i can survive this year.. lol... ^.^

Hehe.. enuff of my "grumbling"... juz this Sunday.. met up with KTV club friends to go sing KTV... had quite a fun time... but didn't sing much.. and i was down wif flu.. so made my voice a bit weird weird de....

Yesterday was New Year's Eve~~.. met up wif Hubby after his work in the afternoon... then we went out to Metro Sale at Expo..Hubby got a load of shirts and stuff and i got myself a new pair of shoes... new pillow, new bolster, new bedsheets etc ... hehe.... after metro sale... went back to Hubby's house for him to change clothes.. then we went on to Marina Square...

When we reached Marina Square.. we went for dinner at Kenny Roger's... cos Hubby missed the marcaroni & cheese.. lol... had quite a nice dinner... we ordered the double delights set.. and i ate the ribs... not that bad.....

After dinner... we went to walk walk around, which after that we headed to the cinema for our show... We watched Alien Vs Predator Requim... the cinema was full house... and we got the front and side seats... *_*

The show was not bad... quite action packed... and ya.. gross .. lol... gross as in the parts where all the blood will spurt out and the part where they showed the alien nest in the hospital... ewww... sticky and gross... lol... but not bad show.. worth the watch... as usual... here's the trailer for all to enjoy...

After the show.. mi and Hubby went to walk walk ard... some shops were still open for business... and i went into Topshop and got myself 3 tops... sponsored by Hubby.. hehe.. then we went to wait for the New Year Fireworks to start... the roadsides outside Marina Square and Esplanade were flooded wif people as early as 10+, 11pm... gosh... typical singaporeans... lol... people were all sitting on the grass patches... by the roadsides etc ...

This year's fireworks not bad.. took some clips wif my pinky camera... uploaded one of the clips onto youtube.. here's to share wif u all... the finale part of the fireworks.. oh ya.. and if u notice a black patch on the right lower side... that's a building... too bad... too many people... cannot squeeze to a better location... and somemore... i too short.. so... kena blocked... hehe...

After the fireworks...we walked down to the carpark to get Hubby's car... and i saw something so KAWAII~~ i saw this Doraemon car... so cute lo~~ beri beri nice.... i got a gd mind to pester Hubby to go "transform" his car to something as cute as this Doraemon Car... and of cos... such a cute car.. muz definitely take pictures... cos my youngest sis... Kacia... is a super Doraemon fan.. and i think she will freak out on seeing this...

Xmas is here once again... and soon New Year will arrive... actually these few years... didn't really wanted Xmas to arrive so fast... cos it only means.. my hols are going to end... and it's back to a new year of more and more work...

went to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks with Hubby on 14th Dec... and took Ah gal to watch it again last week... really love the 3 Chipmunks, Alvin, Simon & Theodore..

i simply LOVE Theodore.. so cute!! esp when in the movie, just about Dave was going to chase them out of the house.. he replied " But.. we talk..." so cute and innocent~~ and also when he juz had a nightmare... wanted to snuggle up wif Dave... he was so cute... simply adorable.... i wan a chipmunk as a pet... ^.^Some pics of the cute little chipmunks...

also on the day when i brought Ah gal out to shop shop and watch Alvin and the Chipmunks... i went to get acrylic nails with nail art... so nice.. hehe.. simply love it.. although the 3d nail art and long nails made life a bit more complicated... lol... i'm quite a clumsy person lo...and with those nails , have to be more gentle a bit when handling things...Yesterday was Xmas eve... met Hubby after his work... and we went out to Vivo City to watch "I am Legend", a new show by Will Smith... not a bad show.. it's about humans contracting a disease due to a vaccine invented by a doc.. the vaccine is supposed to cure cancer, but in the end, it became a virus which humans turned into man-eating creatures and preyed on the remaining humans for food... Will Smith of cos.. is the hero in this show...

from the trailer, i expected it to be slightly more action packed... but not so in the end..but nethertheless, not a bad show... here's the trailer... enjoy...

After the show, Hubby and i was walking ard Vivo City to look for a place to have dinner, while waiting for Min and Jason to meet up with us....while walking ard.. we saw something real funny... a little rat appeared out of nowhere and scuttered past us.. and ran towards the escalator... the escalator was going up, but the rat keep trying to run down... it was such a funny scene... and attracted a big crowded watching it... created a bit of comotion... hehe.. managed to catch few blur pics of it...

Finally after that.. someone caught the rat with a plastic bag... and i think he dispersed it off... after the funny incident... Hubby and i made our way to Shin Kushiya for our dinner... Shin Kushiya is a Jap restaurant that deals in selling charcoal grilled food... we ordered our food... and waited for Min and Jason.

The show was great, action-packed, quite humorous and yet exciting... worth the watch... another recommended show for all.. even thought i did not watch National Treasure 1, i still find this show great... hehe.... once again, here's the trailer for u to enjoy...

After the show... Hubby sent Min and Jason back home... then we went to nearby Min's house to eat some dimsum... then reached home ard 5 plus in the morning...

this morning ... got woken up by noises from a procession on the road infront of my blk of flat... and saw lion dance... dragon dance etc... then i saw a giant lion head... it's really beri big lo... think need 3-4 people juz to support the head.....

ok... i admit... i'm a sucker for stuff that are cute and pinkish... so when i set eyes on the new digicam that my sister Elise bought... so cute and pinkish , and fun~ (yup.. fun... u can edit pics on the cam.. add cute little pics and icons etc, it's touchscreen!), i knew i had to get my hands on this pink darling...

so... TA~DA~~, introducing my newest addition to my pinky collection, my hot pink Sony T2 camera~~ i love this camera...there's only 1 word to describe it.. and that's "kawaii"~~Hubby got gala premiere tickets to watch "Warlords", “投名状”on 8th Dec, Saturday at Shaw House... it's a movie by Andy Lau, Takashi, and Jet li , about 3 brothers who took a blood oath, went to war together etc... not a bad show... but tempo was a bit draggy... some parts might make u sleepy... hehe....

After seeing "Warlords", mi and Hubby went on the Plaza Sing to watch another midnight show, "The Golden Compass"... I find this show beri nice... quite like the story... but it seems "Harry Pottery~"... lol... but worth watching... looking forward to the next instalment...

And... my next show? i wanna watch Alvin and the Chipmunks!!! they are so kawaii~~!! can't wait to see the show!!
Last week... took ah gal out for shopping and eating... time flys so fast.. she going on to Pri 2 le... it seems like juz last year that she came as a toddler to my house... and she getting prettier le~~ she's beri smart too... hope i have a daughter like that next time.... hehe....

yup.. my so-called holidays are finally here... after 1 year of tough work, the time to rest is now.. i always have mixed feelings about my year end holidays... when there's no time to rest during work days, u pray for holidays to come...

but when the holidays really arrive... u realise all u do is to rot... some of u may say , take the time to meet friends u haben seen for a long time... but alas... friends all working... then when holidays are about to end.. i will start to lament about how fast days pass, not enuff time to rest etc...

but however, when my holidays end... it means it's another new year... new classes, new challenges, and this year.. more new colleagues, less familiar faces... always tend to wonder what class will i get, how would they behave, etc... but hope my classes next year will be like my classes this year... quite like my classes this year... really had fun with them this year... and seeing their improvement thruout the year.. i really feel a sense of satisfication.. ^.^

my group of P6 Wushu baobeis are graduating this year... they were wif mi ever since wushu started in my school, to me, they are like my own kids, will really miss them when they go on to secondary school... however, hope they will excel in secondary school and go on to greater heights...

sometimes, i wonder... am i in the right career? am i suitable for this job? am i qualified to guide and educate the young? am i a good teacher? sometimes, i simply wonder.... when i see students improving, i really feel a sense of satisfication, but when i see students giving up on themselves, i feel as though i'm to be blamed for that.. is it my way of teaching that's wrong? or my approach to them is wrong?

there was this period, where i really wanted to quit teaching... disappointed and sad... that was really a bad year... things weren't going well, lotsa stuff cropped up... stress took a toll on me... nearly broke down... but i survived thru it.... yet sometimes when i look back on ... i start to think, will this kind of thing happen again? how will i cope with it then? haben tot of a solution yet.. lol..
but nethertheless, i love to teach... thru teaching, i learned things that i didn't noe b4 too... we learn as we teach... so for as long as i can, i will continue to teach so as to continue to learn...

23rd of November, Friday was our school annual dinner.... it was held at Royal Plaza on Scotts... quite a nice place... quite sad this year though... cos a lot of colleagues are leaving our school this year... either quitting... moving on to greener pastures... or transferring school.... wonder how it would be next year.. haiz...

Last Friday... went wif Hubby to to GV Vivocity to watch the sneak preview of the movie... The GamePlan.. the lead actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was also there to promote the movie...
The movie was beri beri nice... super touching and it was simply great... it's a must-watch... so.. u peeps should all go see it... not gonna tell the story here... hehe... it's for u all to find out urself... =X

Then on Saturday... Zouk had their Halloween party... my sister planned b4 hand wif her frenz to go celebrate as well as dress up for Halloween... then mi and my younger sis decided to go last min for some scary fun... hehe..

Actually Zouk's Halloween party is one of the most happening one in Singapore... the nite was not bad .. wif lotsa funny funny dressers and of cos... scary and look-reallife kind... managed to take some pics... hehe

Hubby had to attend a wedding dinner at Sentosa Shangri-La on 22/9 Sat...in the evening... and seems that there was a hotel rm package for the Wedding Couple's frenz.. so Hubby took up the package and we spent the weekend there... Hehe... been mia-ing from my blog for such a long time... haben been updating my bloggie at all... actually wanted to update quite a few times de... but then... it so happened that dunno y... my usb cable seem to be a bit siao siao... my digicam cannot link to my comp to download my pics... then wanted to go buy a card reader... but always forgot about it... then when i wanted to download my pics again.. i forgot that i haben buy the card reader... and the cycle keeps going on and on... hehe....

juz some pics and some updates... had a bbq session at once of my colleague's place wif some of the colleagues on the 7th of August ... here's a few of them... didn't have time to take much pics... as was bz helping out.. and picking on food... hehe.... Then on the 8th of August.. my sch had National Day Celebrations... as well as Lower Primary Games Day... as usual... as a P1 Form Teacher.. i had to be down at the field wif the P1s for the Games Day... didn't managed to catch the National Day Celebrations... so sad sia... always nvr get to watch... as i remember ... since the time i entered my school as a teacher... i had nvr watch the National Day Concert...

After the celebrations... mi and some of my close colleagues, Hsuping, Yuxue, Huixian, Klera and Li Hoon... we went to Cineleisure... went for lunch at Sakae Teppanyaki... yummy~ and then the grp of us siao chabors went to rave it out at K-box... hehe....

was having a lesson one day wif my cute P1s and was teaching them a song from the text... taught them some actions to go along wif the songs... and 2 of my cute little P1s decided to make mi laugh..~~

Our school had the Teachers' Day Dinner on the 24th of August.. didn't manage to take much pics.. as didn't realized my cam batt was nearly out.... took a few nia...

before my p5 lessons commenced on that day... my p5s keep coming to mi... telling mi not to go to class so early... i was like so "duh"... wat are u all up to ~~ it turned out in the end they wanted to plan a surprise for mi... as told by another teacher to mi... but... sort of bad that.. i decided to step in class early... and spoiled their chance for a surprise... hehe... but they were sweet... my p4s also... and of cos... my cute little P1s...

actually i really like my classes this year... although they might be talkative most of the times... but.. most of them had the correct attitude.. and i actually feel happy stepping into classes...and i really enjoyed my lessons...

Batam Spa Trip~~

Went on a Batam Spa trip during the weekend... it was meant as a birthday treat for Hubby... hehe... didn't managed to take much photos... cos quite lazy also... hehe...

Reached Harbourfront at around 8+am, was supposed to take the 9.40am ferry... as i was the one who did the booking...so ended up mi collecting the tickets and passes...

After around an hour of ferry journey... we reached Batam Center ... this is the 2nd time that i ever stepped into Batam ... the last time was ard 12-13 yrs ago... when i went with my classmates to Waterfront City there.... lol...

We reached our hotel Panorama Regency Hotel after ard 15-20mins of journey.. a 4-star hotel... quite not bad... hehe... went to check into our room... as the booking time for our spa was not up yet...

Went for our spa treat at 12.30pm Batam time.. that's 1.30 Sg time... didn't realized that the packages that i booked was a Couple Spa... until i reached then i noe... lol... but aniway... service was not bad... the package consisted of a aromatherapy full body massage, an exfoliating body scrub and a hot steam jacuzzi bath.... and quite cheap also... hehe....

After the spa... we went back to the hotel room to change... then went out to the nearby Nagoya Hills Mall to walk walk ard... actually nothing much to buy there... had dinner at this Godiva Coffee Cafe... actually thought the food might be nice... cos a lot of people eating there... but then... was quite disappointed...

this was wat i ordered.. on the menu... it was stated as Spaghetti... but then... when it arrived... it turned out to be Fried Spaghetti... was so T_T when i saw this... aniway... it did not taste nice...

Hubby ordered a Tendorloin Steak... but then when it came... it looked like a normal steak lo... like those kopitiam/hawker centre western food kind... and... it was quite stiff lo... not tender at all....

Was quite disappointed wif the food... after an unsatisfying meal.. we went to the Hypermart to walk walk and got some drinks and titbits to bring back to the hotel...

Woke up at ard 9+ the next morning... went for the breakfast in the hotel... this time the breakfast was not bad... quite nice.. and quite a lot of stuff to eat... got a Japanese Counter somemore.. lol...

after the breakfast... went back to pack our stuff... we checked out at ard 12pm... then took the hotel transfer to Batam Center ... we booked the 5.25pm ferry back.. cos i wanted to walk ard Megamall..

After walking ard... this time we decided to play it safe... we had our lunch at A&W... how i miss A&W sia.. it's "extinct" in Sg lo... after eating ... we went to Hypermart again.. and got some cheap cheap stuff back....

then we went to J.Co Coffee and donuts... yeye... yummy donuts... the ones that's now a hot craze in Sg... can't bring myself to queue so long in Sg ... but then ... when we reached the counter... we were told that we had to wait ard an hour... cos they "restocking".. T_T ... so mi and Hubby set down to a drink in the cafe...

Actually it was good that they restocked... cos all the different flavours were launched... means we can choose~~ and i was one of those 1st few in the queue... hehe...

After buying the donuts... we got on the ferry... the ferry was sort of delayed... and there was this huge group of ah gongs and ah mas in the ferry... think they went on a 1 day Batam trip... they were so LOUD when talking sia... they were practically screaming their voices out the whole trip... and hor... the content they were discussing... were quite R-rated lo... and to think there were kids inside the ferry... T_T

so... i threw on my earphones and on my psp... taadaaa~~ peace once again~~

hehe.. didn't update over the weekend as was quite bz ... aniway... today after work.. Hubby picked mi up and we went to a coffee shop at Serangoon Gardens for nice nice western food... the stall name is Aston... the western food there is cheap and nice lo... mi and Hubby both ordered the Prime Rib Eye steak... super tender and nice... and it's only $11.90.. super cheap! Sunday

Met up wif some maple guild frenz for an outing, it's been quite some time since i last seen them... went for some drinks as well as dinner at Sakae Sushi... chatted wif them till quite late b4 going home...

Saturday

Saturday was Hubby's b-day, actually planned a short getaway trip for him as a b-day present during the weekend... but then... turned out that he got complimentary tickets for WWE show for Sat.. and i knew he wanted to see it badly.. as he's quite a fan... so postponed the trip to this coming weekend...

went to get birthday cakes for him in the afternoon... got Gobi cakes, beri nice and exquisite cakes... taste superb~~ and looks cute... lol....2nd b-day present for Hubby was a pair of couple rings... actually we had a pair... but then mine got too loose for mi... and i didn't wear cos scared drop... and he was sort of "complaining" that i nvr wear.. so this time got a new pair... but then i got it 1 size bigger for him... haiz... and he had to wear on other fingers...

then when we went to PS and walk walk.... got a shirt for Hubby as a 3rd b-day present... Hubby saw another pair of rings and he quite liked it, so he got us another pair...

Hubby bought de~~~so now... i have 2 couple rings on my hands... lol.... and walking around as well as eating lunch from Sakae Sushi... we went down to Indoor Stadium for the WWE show... actually thought we would be getting normal seats for the show as it was complimentary... then when we collected the tickets.. we were so surprised to see it was one of those best seats, 4th row from the ring! Hubby was so happy... hehe...

i'm going crazy... tomolo's my observation... actually.. later today... and i'm feeling super stressed up!... i can't sleep... keep turning and tossing around in bed... this is not my 1st time having a ob.. but y so stressed up this time? i think i'm totally freaking myself out!

i wanted to have the lesson ob wif my p5s at 1st... but then my supervisor's timing cmi... so actually changed to p4.. then... due to time table changes ... had to change again.. this time to p1... haiz.. my p1s.. cute as they can be... but then... a few of them simply... haiz... juz hope they wouldn't give mi ani tricks...

having total mind blocks these few days... couldn't think of ani ideas at all... i was so stressed up that i even broke down into tears... y is this so? i dun even understand myself... 14 and a half hrs more.. and i would be free... wish mi luck... and sanity..

yup.. i'm on mc today... all thanks to the steamboat dinner i had wif Ivy, Charles and Baha yesterday... we went for ktv in the afternoon then a steamboat dinner... and today.. i'm having a bad stomach... haiz...

had quite a peaceful weekend... met up wif my sis , Elise at Kovan Cold Storage on Fri evening to get the ingredients for making spaghetti... her b-day was on Sat, so we sort of pre-celebrated it on Fri... once reached home... i helped her out wif the cooking... as she didn't really noe how to cook spaghetti... lol...

after cooking and eating, my family sat down to watch Transformers and also enjoyed a bottle of red wine... while waiting for 12am to "cut" the cake for her...

but then this year... ended up no cutting of cake.. as her bf, David bought some unconventional cakes as her b-day cakes..

Cupcakes... so sweet and pretty, rite? met up wif Min and Jason at Toa Payoh on Sat afternoon... went to Pizza Hut for lunch... wanted to try that cheese fondue thingie... hehe....not that bad... only that it was super super fulling... wif so much cheese... lol...after our late "lunch"... mi and Hubby went to walk walk around... as well as get my hair trimmed a bit... trimmed my fringe and the dry ends away... Went driving around in Hubby's car, sort of went touring around Singapore and ended up at Serangoon Gardens at ard 10+pm... wanted to try the beri nice western food... but then store closed for the day... so went to Chomp Chomp to eat instead....

we went to Manhattan Fish Market for our lunch, had been wanting to come here for quite some time le... but then as Hubby dun eat seafood... and here only got seafood... so dun have much chance to come...

decided to order a seafood platter for 2 to share... as the serving quite big... hehe... had the seafood chowder as well... yummy~~

this is Charles... well he's single and available, 25 this year... has a stable job and looking for a gf ... quite a ok guy la... so as his sister, i'm sort of "promoting" him... dun wan him to be left on the shelf too long... will stale de... Harry Potter started screening on the 12th of July... wanted to watch it this weekend... but was thinking that weekend ... the cinemas would be super packed.. sure no seats..

Hubby decided to purchase the movie tickets earlier... but due to a little blunder... or maybe some blurness... he actually got the tickets for a 10am show at bishan gv.... i had nvr watched a movie that early in my life b4.... lol

so.. yesterday... we woke up quite early as our movie was at 10am... decided to try out Cafe Cartel's breakfast menu... as a colleague mentioned it was not bad and was around the price of a Mac b-fast set...it's only available on weekend mornings... hardly get to wake up early during the weekends... hehe... so happened that going to watch movie... "shun bian" try the b-fast...

Each b-fast set is at priced at $6.95... comes wif free flow of coffee/tea and bread... quite a reasonable price... and tasted not bad... hehe...

after b-fast... we went up to the cinema.. got quite a shock when we reached...so many people sia... for a 10am show... T_THarry Potter was so-so only... it wasn't as exciting as i perceived it to be..( sort of got misleaded by the trailers and the book...) actually quite logical la... how u expect a whole book to fit into a 2 hr movie... but overall... not that bad... only that reading the book is more informative... hehe....

after the movie... waited for Hubby while he went to his workplace to clear some work... after which... we went to the Baker's Shop at Sin Ming ave to buy cheese brownies... recommended by a colleague of mine... it tasted beri beri nice... smooth and creamy... a bit similar to chocolate cheesecake texture... but is cheese brownie... means main stuff is the brownie... hehe...

got the cheese brownies and went back to Hubby's place to store it in the fridge... then went to meet Min and Jason at Novena for steamboat.. quite like this steamboat area... cos hor... can have 4 kinds of soup at the same time... hehe.... and the food quite fresh also...

had a nice nice dinner... and then... as usual... we ended up in TCC Beach Road again... T_T ... stayed there for some drinks and after which we went to Hubby's place to get the brownie... went for a car wash at SPC... and headed home....

had a hectic week at work... yes.. sch has reopened once again... and it's back to bz life once more... so most prob will be updating this bloggie once a week... unless got "special" stuff to blog... hehe..

went down to the UOB outlet at City Hall, as it was one of the few outlets that opened till 4pm on Sat... after which i went to walk walk around in Raffles City... saw this pushcart doing laptop skins... quite nice wo... here's the webby for those who might be interested... http://www.garskins.com/ ... erm the skins in the webby not that updated... but can give u a rough idea... better to go down to see the designs if u wan... somemore... it's about $60 for the skin.... i also wanna do... who wanna spon mi? =X

went down to Bugis , walked walked around and went back to this pushcart selling watches, bought 2 watches from there previously...and after looking around again... i bought another watch...the gold plated one... the other 2 watches were bought the other day... quite like the watches there... hehe...

after that , met up wif Min, Jason and Joe... Hubby came from home and had to go find parking... finding parking on a Sat is quite a tough job... then we ended up at this steamboat restaurant near Bugis Junction, called 川一品, quite ok la.. cos the basement got aircon de...and it's around $20 on a weekend wif free flow drinks... so .. Min, Jason, Joe, Hubby, Mi, Khim and BP, the 7 of us set down to a nice nice steamboat dinner... was super full after that meal...

after the meal... it's back to our usual haunt, TCC@ Beach Road... for some after meal drinks...i ordered a Sea of Passion and Hubby ordered a Ice Honey Latte... yummy~~

met up wif Min today to go CBD area to get my lappy's free extra 1 gb ram... my new lappy actually comes wif a 1gb ram... but then cos got "promotion" , so i getting another 1gb ram free... but have to go down and get personally la...

had a hard time trying to figure the exact location of the stupid place.. mi and Min was sweating like hell under the hot sun... figuring our way around the complex CBD area... was so relieved when we finally found the place...

after the "upgrade", we went down to Challenger at Funan.. i got a air-vent cooler and a mini mousie for my lappy... cost mi ard $60... so heartpain.. T_T ... after which we went to Bugis to meet Min's dar, Jason... then went for dinner... and then to Beach Road de TCC for some coffee and surfing net...

the 3 of us were bz accessing our lappys there... hehe... then i started to "zi lian" again... no lah... actually... took this pic for Min de.. cos she wanna put as caller-id pic... hehe... then my sis called mi and told mi my family going for "supper" near my house at ard 10pm... ask mi go also... was actually about to hail a taxi back home at ard 9.30pm... then Hubby called! he was juz outside TCC and came to fetch mi... hehe... so sweet ... he nvr tell mi.. wanted to surprise mi...

this morning... woke up wif a call from min... then not wanting to disturb Hubby's sleep.. ( Hubby slept over cos we watched movie till quite late).. took my hp to the toilet while i washed up... then the hp rang... so i reached to take the phone... then "plunk"... cos of slip of hand...my nokia hp dropped into the pail of water... T_T this my 3rd phone to "drown" le... haiz...

so... went to look for a new phone in the afternoon... 1st went to parkway... but couldn't find ani... then went for lunch wif Hubby, min and jason...then went down to toa payoh... at 1st thought of getting a samsung phone... E840... was about to pay for it... then had a change of mind... decided to get LG KE820.. min was also getting the phone... but then she got the last set... so had to go around lookin for it again... but.. searched whole of tpy... all out of stock... haiz...was quite frustrated and had a short tiff wif Hubby... T_T

in the end , managed to get the phone at Ang Mo Kio.. in all to say... it was a bad day...haiz..

here's my new phone... the LG card-sized phone..went to watch 2 action films yesterday.... Die Hard 4 and Transformers! Die Hard was on Hubby's must-watch list... as he's a super fan... i didn't watch the 1st 3 movies though, but after Hubby's fast and clear synopsis.. got the storyline clear... Die Hard 4 was action packed... exciting and worth the watch... Bruce Willis's so stylo... see the way he cracked those thugs... lol... power...
Transformers was GREAT! super effects, real powerful.. nice story... exciting.. and simply amazing...woo... hoping for a sequel to it.. let's pray and hope... hehe... next movie on my must-watch... Harry Potter!!

it's the 1st week of school after the short Jun Hols.. this hols seems to pass by so fast.. didn't feel like i got ani rest at all.. bought a new lappy... the desktop that i'm using now actually is Hubby's de... then Hubby's own desktop broke down le.. so the desktop pass back to him... so i got a new lappy..

went wif Min to get it de.. and she also got a lappy too... and we bought the same model... hehe...

got Nec de.. beri portable lappy... quite small and light... only 1.96kg wif battery...

beri basic simple design.. got black de cos not so easily dirtied... my previous Benq lappy was silver... and tarnished like hell... lol...

today was the day of returning to school for the end of hols meeting... as well as getting to noe which "new" seat i have been allocated to... i was praying beri hard... hoping it's not one of those aisle seats or corridor seats wif no privacy... and i think 1 of the gods up there heard my prayers... i got a so-called corner seat... yeye... privacy~~

the only prob is that it's quite a distance from my current workplace... means i have to carry all my barang barang across the staff room.. over to my new place... wanted to shift over today... but then...the previous owner of my new workplace had not finished clearing her stuff... so i cannot move also... haiz... hope she moves tomolo though...

went over to Kovan Heartland Mall to walk walk around while waiting for Hubby to finish work... he came and picked mi up and we went to the Hongkong Cafe at Novena Area... the food there beri nice lo... much nicer than the few HK cafes that we patronised before... will definitely be back there again... for those who noe the Heartland Mall Xin Wang Cafe... and think the food is nice there... go try the food at this HK cafe at novena... it will make u realise that the food at Xin Wang is not nice at all.... lol....

today should be considered the last day of my hols... as for the following days of the week ... i have to be back in sch... for meetings, for my CCA...

in the afternoon today... suddenly had the craving for dim sum... so... dragged Hubby out of his bed... and made him accompany mi to Yum Cha for dim sum... after bathing and such... and travelling... the traffic was bad... lotsa jam... we reach Yum Cha at ard 4.45pm.. so ordered our food... and enjoyed a meal of dimsum... yummy~~

after our dimsum meal... we drove down to Marina Square... got the tickets for Fantastic 4... and then we went to walk walk around... went to Action City and got these 2 cuties to put on my worktable... as i'm changing to a "new" table... so wanna decorate my "new" table..~~ been wanting to get these for quite some time... but nvr take action... hehe... after buying these 2... we went for our movie.. then at the cinema.. saw this signboard... and decided to take a pic wif Cody.... hehe...

i'm going surfing~~~Hubby~~Fantastic 4 - Rise of the Silver Surfer is a beri nice show.. action packed.. although i didn't watch the 1st one.. but the storyline of the 2nd one can be followed easily... but this movie is quite short though... slightly less then an hr and a half...

i wanna be Invisible Woman also... gosh... guess the things u could do when u are invisible...u can sneak up on the person u hate... and "sabo" him.. haha... joking... but like in Spiderman... with great power comes great responsibility, so guess it's not for someone like mi... ^.^

Went on a trip to Genting & KL from the 12th -16th of June.. as mentioned in my previous posts, this was a belated birthday trip from Hubby... we booked the 1st Class coach for the journey up to Genting.. wanted to book the 1st Class coach for the journey back , but then the coaches all fully booked... had to stick to the normal ones....

12th June 07

Hubby came and stayed over at my house the night before... woke up at 5 plus in the morning and took a cab down to Golden Mile Complex, had to do the checking in at 6.30am.. we reached at 6.30am sharp and got on the bus shortly..

We took the Five Stars Tour, the 1st Class coach beri nice wo... 16 seater nia, then the chair beri comfortable, it also acts as a massage chair, aircon super powerful , got a TV system also... got a lot of quite new movies , somemore the leg room space beri comfortable... hehe....
Hubby started to "zi lian" a bit... took this pic while i was napping in the bus, must have been "contaminated" by mi... wahahaha~~
After many hours of travelling.. we finally arrived at Genting.. checked into our room at First World Hotel, we chose First World as it's easily accessible... hehe ....
After settling down at the room, we went down to the shopping area to walk walk around.... i saw this cute honey lollipop at one of the side stalls.... and bought it for my Doraemon-Crazy sister... ye.. if u all can see it... it's in the shape of a doraemon face....

i also got these 3 figurines, these figurines beri cute wo... u pull the string below, the hands and legs will move frantically... so kawaii~~

Then we went to Kenny Rogers for our late lunch.... Actually didn't want to eat at Kenny Rogers, but then saw that they launched baked cheese rice... Hubby wanted to try it... so we went in... in the end... the baked rice sold out... T_T ..... settled for the normal meal instead....

i starting to "zi lian" again~~

At 1st wanted to go for the outdoor theme park... but then we went for it last yr le... then nothing new this yr... so didn't go.....so after enjoying the cold breeze, we went back to the shopping arcade to walk walk around... went into this shop that sells those trick stuff, horror masks etc.... tried on one of the wigs in the shop... i look so funny hor~~ ^.^
After walking around, we went to have our lunch-cum-dinner at this Hongkong Cafe inside First World Shopping Area.....
Went to the Casino again after dinner... this time when i stepped thru the entrance, i got stopped! the security guard actually asked for my IC!!! omg... he thought i was under-age... while fidgeting for my IC, i told the security guard, i beri old le leh... definitely older than 21 yrs old... he looked like he dun believe mi like that... after looking at my IC.. then he went "Oh...."

this time we played Pontoon, commonly known as "Blackjack".... met wif a few jerks... irritating fellows... after a few hours of gambling... we left the casino and went to walk around for the last time as it was our last nite in Genting...

The next morning, we woke up for breakfast.... after breakfast, we went back to the hotel room and packed our bags to depart for KL.... After a few hours of bus journey, we reached KL and reached our hotel.. Hotel Royale Bintang.... we wanted to book Berjaya Times Square Hotel, but then the rooms already all fully booked...

After checking in the hotel room, we walked to Berjaya Times Square to shop shop around... Decided to try the Indoor Theme Park this time... the 1st thing we went on was this DNA mixer... actually this ride not scary at all de... but then... it keeps hanging u upside down... until all ur blood rises to ur brain... head splitting sia.... see the following video... the whole ride is like the video... only that it lasts for around 3-4mins...

After the "mixing", we went on to play something mild... Bumper Cars~~! while sitting in the bumper car and waiting for it to start... there was this Taiwanese lady near mi... she was asking how to put on the seat belt... so i spoke to her back in chinese... telling her how to put on ...

then she said the following :"哦，你会说国语啊，真是谢谢你，你看起来好年轻啊，你满二十了没？meaning: "oh, u noe how to speak chinese, thanks for the help... u look young... are u 20 yet?"

i was like stunned for a moment... before answering her that i'm already 26... haha... this trip made mi happy sia... 1st the checking of IC at the casino... now this lady.... i LOOK young~~~!!

Hubby in bumper car~~ After a few rounds of bumper car , we went to take the rollercoaster, beri beri nice...quite exciting.... took a video clip... zoomed in on the rollercoaster, so couldn't see the actual height , but it was beri high up.... wif beri high angle slopes....

After the Indoor Theme Park, we continued to walk walk around Berjaya Times Square, after which we went for dinner at Mr Ramen and then back to the hotel for a gd nite rest....

upon reaching the room, we wanted to use the electrical kettle to boil some water... then we realized that the heating metal inside was rusty.... so called house-keeping to request for a change.... but then the 2nd electrical kettle leaked water..... got so fed up le...

then when i wanted to take a bath... i realized that the hot water in the room was rusty!! that is yellowish dirty water... had to call the reception and house-keeping... they sent someone down to check and repair... but then the water still dirty.. so i requested for a room change... spent ard an hour plus juz to get this room thing settled... and i was already so tired le... haiz....

15th June 07

Woke up for breakfast at the Hotel cafe, after which we proceeded to Sungei Wang for shopping... walked around for some time... did some shopping... but then i started to feel beri beri tired... beri lethargic.... so went back to the hotel for a short rest....

after some rest.... mi and Hubby headed down to Low Yat for dinner.... we tried this Mr Teppanyaki... but then as u can see.... the teppanyaki is not eaten at the cooking area... where it's kept hot... instead it's put onto a plate and served to u.... not beri nice... T_T

After dinner, we then headed down to Petaling street, Chinatown for some more shopping.... so many people around there... a lot of fake imitations stuff there... hehe.... and i managed to find a bookshop and bought lotsa novels back.... my fav~!

16th June 07

today is the day to return back to Singapore... dun really feel like returning...as it means work is starting again... we went for breakfast as usual... after which we went to pack our bags to get ready for checking out... then while packing... Hubby tried to move the coffee table aside... as it was quite light... he lifted it wif 1 hand... only to realized that the glass on it is not stuck on to the table... then.... the glass fell to the ground... and broke... T_T

the culprit-- the coffee table~~ We had to pay RM150 for this table... so stupid sia... haiz.... i think this hotel and us "八字不合", 1st is the rusty water and spoiled kettle... then now this stupid table.... think i will keep clear of this hotel le... lol

after checking out at 12pm, we still had around 2hr plus before our bus arrive... so we went back to Sungei Wang to do some last min shopping... got 2 more bags, and Hubby got a nice nice pen...

after shopping we went to this noodle shop called Only Mee for our lunch...

i'm going for a short holiday again~~~ it's actually my belated birthday trip fully paid by Hubby... was supposed to go during the week of my b-day... but then i had to attend some stupid courses.. so had to push it to this week... i will be away from 12th to 16th of June...

I'm going back to Genting and KL again.. Genting for the superb cool weather as June is beri beri hot... and then KL for shopping~! as this June hols is beri short for mi... so dun wanna venture too far... hehe...have to start my "homework" once i get back from this trip... had to prepare new worksheets... T_T ...

i'm so looking forward to this trip... hehe... can get out of sg... and spend time wif Hubby~~ will try to take lotsa pics and post them once i get back~~ tata~~

6th of June was my b-day... Hubby picked mi up and we had dinner at The French Stall... beri nice French food... u see a lot of ang mos there... hehe... and the food is yummy... i had Pork Loin "Cordon Bleu" in Mushroom Sauce... and Hubby had Lamb Chop with Eggplant and Tomato... we even had cream of cauliflower as our soup.. nvr drink b4... haha..~~

Went back to school yesterday to print out some important documents and to pack up my table... my school staff rm gonna "乾坤大挪移", everyone has to clear their tables and we gonna change our sitting areas... haiz... i got so much "rubbish"... how to clear... T_T ..... aniway, made arrangements wif Hsuping a few days back to go back to school together to pack up....

After packing up... mi and Hsuping walked to Kovan Mrt to take train down to Orchard area.. had a hard time struggling to Kovan Mrt... as the sun was BLAZING HOT~~ nearly "melted" under the hot sun... we reached Plaza Sing and then went to Cafe Cartel for a light meal....

After the meal at Cartel... we strolled down along Orchard Road as Hsuping wanted to find a nice pair of sunglasses... lucky the weather was much more cooler then... we walked all the way down to Heeren, and managed to see some nice sunglasses at 77th Street... Hsuping got 2 pairs of sunglasses that sort of looked ok on her.... she couldn't decide which to get.. so got both... since both quite cheap...hehe...

After buying the sunglasses at Heeren.. we went down to Paragon to walk walk while waiting for Hsuping's sis to reach... went to Marks & Spencers, got some stuff there and then to Metro... then at Metro... Hsuping saw the "Ultimate" pair of sunglasses, one that really fitted her and looked great... then she bought it again... o.O .... 3 pairs of sunglasses in 1 day... i was asking her... how many pairs of eyes does she have... lol...

Hsuping's sis reached a while later and we went down to Lucky Plaza for her to change currency for their trip, after which we went back to Cineleisure to have dinner.... we settled down at the Xin Wang Hongkong Cafe ... although i was wondering... there's an outlet in Hougang.. and i came all the way down to Orchard to eat there... T_T ....

had a full day course at Nanyang Jc today.. which during the lunch break... the few of us sneaked off to Bishan J8 for lunch and coffee... hehe... after that.. went over to Hubby's workplace to wait for him...

after meeting up with Hubby... we went to Parkway Parade...and he presented mi wif my 3rd b-day gift... if got read my earlier posts, my 1st b-day gift from Hubby this yr is a KL-Genting Trip.. 2nd gift is my pink PSP... and now my 3rd b-day gift....

Tortie~~Actually i have been eyeing this tortie for quite long le.. cos beri cute... and Hubby got it for mi~~ hehe.....After getting my 3rd gift.. we went for dinner at Aijisen Ramen... and after that.. went to change currency for our trip next week... then we went to walk walk around and then decided to go home... cos both of us were beri tired le...

then when Hubby sent mi back to my house carpark... he presented mi wif my 4th b-day gift! the pinkie mushie which i wanted!! .... and it was the biggest size one! i simply love it...! actually my b-day is tomolo... 6th of June... but sweet sweet Hubby already surprised mi more than enuff le... i love all my pressies~~ Thx Hubby~~My 2 cuties~~

Met up with Min today to go shop shop for clothes... went to This Fashion at Paya Lebar Singpost Centre, the big big one... i like to go This Fashion buy clothes cos hor.. the clothes not beri exp.. cos i get sick of clothes quite fast... tend to buy clothes everytime i see those i like.. so buy cheap cheap de better...

i got 3 tops and 1 bottom after spending 1 hr+ looking ard... Min got 2 tops... the shop beri big.. then each time can only try 5 pieces.. so have to go to and fro to try the clothes.. after shopping.... had a craving to eat dim-sum... so mi and Min took the mrt down to Chinatown Yum Cha to have dim-sum~~ yum yum~~

A nite out at Marina Square...

had a course at Singapore Chinese Girls' School yesterday... met up wif my colleagues Hsuping and Huixian in the morning and shared a cab to the destination... so exp sia.. 20+++ for the trip.. and it's not that far ... near town area... yet it's much exp than travelling to the far west, Jurong..

After the course... we went to Far east plaza as Hsuping wanted to dye her hair, and i was waiting for hubby.... after a while.. went to take bus to Marina Square... yesyes.. i took a bus.. not a cab... dun get too shocked.. LOL... once reached, went to the cinema to get tickets for Pirates of the Carribean~~ and went to walk walk around while waiting for hubby to come after work...

while waiting for hubby.. went to the central area of Marina Square and saw .... the Powerpuff Girls~~ think there was some holiday programs organized for kids during this holidays... but the big-sized figurines really looked beri cute...

The Powerpuff girls were dancing to the song of "Can't get u out of my head" by Kylie Minogue.. and they looked so kawaii~~~
The program was actually that Powerpuff girls band were competing with Puffy Amiyumi Band~~

Slightly after the performance finished, hubby arrived and we went to eat dinner...after dinner... finally i get to watch this~!

Not a bad show.. although i was quite confused by the storyline at the beginning of the show... towards the middle, finally got the storyline clear... after the show, we sat there for nearly 5 mins to wait for the credits to finish.. as my fren told mi there was a last part at the end of the rolling credits... the ending was quite sad though... the couple had to be separated from each other... and can only meet every 10 yrs.. but the very last part was beri touching... those who have not seen it, faster go see~~

Friday evening... met up wif Min Jason, Khim, BP, Slyvia and Whye kit they all .... went to Expo for the food fest... Long time nvr see this bunch of frenz le... been so bz wif work and stuff ... and timing with them always crashes.. so seldom get the chance to meet up wif them... nothing much at food fest, same old stuff every year...

after the food fest, the group of us went down to Simei and settled down at the Starbucks to chit chat.. stayed till near 1am in the morning before going back home... even made plans to meet up the next day to go to the book fair at Suntec.

Woke up on Sat noon ,bathed and got ready to go and meet Min they all again... we went to have lunch at the food court at Suntec and then walked over to the Convention Centre... As usual.. when we got into the Book Fair.. they all made a straight dive for the "天界无限" counter...

as for mi.. i went around sourcing for books to use in school... hehe... got a few P1 assessments books while looking around.. as well as helping "lost" mothers choose the correct assessments books.. sales personnel at the book fair seem to be not helpful at all... guess they juz wanna clear away the old assessment books during this fair.. but then, most of the books are already "out", meaning they are of the old syllabus... some parents listen to their "promotion" and "gong gong" go buy those old syllabus books... but i managed to "save" a few though... haha...

after the book fair... accompanied Min to the mrt, and after which i went to walk walk around Raffles city... while waiting for Hubby to come fetch mi...

Hubby came a while later and we set off to Vivo city... wanted to watch Pirates but then.. as usual... all fully booked.. so we juz went to walk walk around... bought some cute accessories while looking around..

Birthday Bears with mine and Hubby's b-days on them... these are to be hanged inside Hubby's car... his car getting more and more "disfigured" each day.. with all those cute accessories, all thanx to mi~~ wahahah~

On Sat... ah dar came and picked mi up at 1+ pm in the afternoon... and off we went to Golden Mile Complex... 1st, we went to the hawker centre opp GM complex to have our lunch.. i had western food, dar had the nice nice beef horfun.. then we ordered the Claypot Chocolate Fondue~, cheapest fondue in Singapore... wanted to try it when it 1st opened.. but was too full then... after some time later... 8-days started to intro and "promoted" it, so i decided to go back and try it.

I pulled ah dar to share the Royal Fondue with mi.. the fondue costs only $14.80 for a serving for 2, and i think it's more worth than Haagen Dazz's fondue... so u peeps should try it... yummy~

After having a yummy lunch, we went over to Golden Mile Complex to find lobangs for a short holiday in June.. as my holidays in June are limited... we decided to go somewhere near ... since June period is beri hot.. we decided to go back to Genting~ enjoy the cool cool weather~ hehe... and then to KL for some shopping... will be away from the 12th to 16th~~

This trip is part of my b-day pressie from ah dar... and my 2nd b-day pressie? My long wanted PSP~!! and it's pink~ , been wanting one for quite some time... but juz can't set my mind to buy it.. and ah dar bought it for mi as a b-day present~, ah dar also got a black one for himself.. the total dmg for these 2 sets of PSP+memory sticks+etc came up to near $1000... O_O .... Thanx dar for all the lovely pressies~ muackz

Couldn't get to sleep at all... been tossing and turning around in bed.. i feel beri tired and am juz dying to have a gd rest...but juz couldn't get to sleep... having a bad bad cough and a beri bad throat... there's still work to go tomolo.. and how am i supposed to tahan the whole day.. without ani rest?

went to the kitchen to get a drink juz now.. and realized... a small flurry little ball squeaking ard near my mum's room door....my sister's hamster escaped from its tank again... T_T this is the 2nd time her hamster escaped... and my sister is not at home... after some running about, trying to stalk the hamster.. managed to catch it and sent it back to its tank... catching it was quite a chore.. as the little flurry ball scoots around beri fast... and keep running into cracks and holes... nearly turned the whole living over trying to catch it....

but.....i still can't get to sleep... wat am i to do now?

had not been updating for 3 weeks... getting a bit lazy.... on mc for today... decided to do some updating...

after 6 days of competition... my wushu baobeis obtained a total of 19 trophies (5 golds, 5 silvers, 6 bronzes and 3 4ths) and 2 BIG trophies~ National Division Awards!

We got the Senior Boys Division National Top 4 - 3rd and Junior Boys Division National Top 4 - 4th... 1st time in my school that we got National Division Top 4 Trophies.. i'm so proud of them!

went to watch the movie 200 pounds Beauty on 21st April , Saturday...

My Wushu Baobeis got 18 trophies!!!

after 5 days of competition... my Wushu Baobeis came back with 5 gold, 4 silver, 6 bronze and 3 4th trophies... i'm so proud of them! they have been training hard for so long... finally their hard work paid off... their finals is this coming thursday... where they will vie for the group events and also the division placing... my senior boys are now leading in the senior boys division... but it's a beri beri close fight with the 2nd placing school... only 1 pt diff... juz hope my boys will do their best in the finals.... on fri nite, after the competition, met up with ah dar and we went to the French Stall for dinner... yummy french food at reasonable prices...

After confirming the route, mi and dar then went to AMK Hub... we "jalan jalan" ard then finally we settled down at Pepper Lunch for dinner... after dinner mi and dar went to the big big NTUC and shop shop....after which we went home to rest rest~

after Wushu practice yesterday.. went to meet ah dar and off we went to Vivocity.... We wanted to catch Mr Bean and TMNT... to our horror... there was such a long queue at GV Vivo... and guess wat... Mr Bean and TMNT showtimes were almost all sold out, mi and ah dar decided to give up on the queuing and went to Marche for lunch...

After lunch... mi and dar decided to drive down to Great World City for our movies... we were greeted by another long long queue at GV Grand... so decided... to join the Visa Platinum Priority queue.. We sure got our tickets real fast... bought Mr Bean and TMNT...

Mr Bean is my all-time fav character, and TMNT was the cartoon that i simply loved when i was young... loved seeing the 4 ninja turtles battle the evil... guess which turtle i like the best? Tada~~ Leonardo.. cos it was blue and also cos it was the leader...hehe... next on the list is Michelangelo, cos seeing it go gaga over pizzas all the time was a ultimate luff~ ... next will be Donatello, then Raphael.. Why Raphael is the last? cos it has a bad temper.. and always make things worse... hehe....

Mr Bean's Holiday was juz that what i expected... full of Bean's silly antics, disastrous moves and simply laughters... Quite a nice movie for an hr+ of pure laughter... TMNT was a not bad movies... graphics were nice and storyline was quite ok... juz like to see the 4 turtles in action... hehe....

After both movies... mi and ah dar went ard Great World City looking for a nice place to have our dinner... while walking ard... i saw ..... Ben & Jerry's~~!! yummy ice-cream... decided to gave in to the temptation... ah dar bought mi a regular cup.. $7 for 2 scoops.. expensive ice cream! .. got New York Super Fudge Chunk and Vanila... hehe.. couldn't resist eating before taking a pic...We finally settled down at Vientai for Vietnamese food... We ordered a beef rice, stir-fried garlic beef... lemongrass pork chop and my fav... sambal kangkong!!

Actually wanted to go meet Wendy for a nite out at St James, Dragonfly.. but after the movie, during dinner... my hand started to become beri itchy... started to develop some rashes.. i think it has something to do wif my sweater... so in the end had to give it a miss and went home for the nite...

Wushu Baobeis...

As usual, yesterday morning.. i went to school for my CCA extra practice... the National Inter-Primary Wushu Competition starts this coming Monday... can sense my students getting nervous about it... although i not the one taking part... but i'm also very nervous... i hope all the hard work that they put in will not be wasted.

My Wushu Baobeis ( as i call them) has been with mi ever since CCA Wushu was launched in my school... to mi... they are a special bunch of pupils.. and seriously although sometimes they can be so mischevious.. i still do love them... For this coming competition, i know they have been training hard... and it's not easy.. training strenously for continuously 3 hrs... for kids, that's hard on them... yet.. they r doing it... for themselves, for the school. This is their 3rd year of competition, they went thru failures, went thru success.. and i was with them thruout these journeys... i can sense and understand their feelings...

My Wushu Baobeis are quite close to mi.. and i feel the same way about them.. fooling around with them has become part and parcel of my daily life in school... As this group has been with mi ever since Wushu started, they are the "pioneer" batch.. they go along wif mi to various performances and competitions, and times wif them have always been beri happy.. even though there might be times that they made mi really disappointed...

but.... once this group of pupils graduate from school... i guess part of mi will also graduate too... can't seem to build such rapport with the in-coming new members ... But.. wish mi and them luck for this coming competition... i have faith in them, and i know they will do their best!

impulse perming!~!!

i had been toying with the idea of perming my hair... cos my rebonding always doesn't seem to last long... and my hair goes frizzy and wavy very fast after rebonding... but juz didn't dare to put my idea into action... wat if it turns out worse?! wat if i look like a auntie!!? wat if people luff at my new hair?!!

All those wat ifs went thru my mind over and over again... but then today.. juz couldn't take my hair animore... so decided to call my sis to go down to the salon wif mi to choose a perm... but then... alas... she couldn't make it... but i was so bent on perming today... if not.. i wouldn't noe when will be the next time i could muster enuff courage....

So... off i went to the salon... looked for the stylist my sis recommended... and the 1st sentence i told her was... " i wan to perm my hair.. but no auntie look!" hehe... then she recommended mi to do jap digital perm... after thinking and thinking... decided to leave my hair to fate... and to her...

Sat there for 2 and a half hrs... was so worried h0w my hair would turn out to be... the result was quite ok.. to my surprise... but think i still need sometime to fully accept it... will post up a front view pic when i dun look so haggard... hehe... meanwhile... here's the back view...

2nd day - Friday 16th of March

Woke up at ard 8+ in the morning, and went for breakfast at the resort restaurant. After breakfast, mi and ah dar went back to the cabana and rested a while. At ard 11+, we went over to Nirwana Resort Hotel to access the swimming pool there. We spent almost the whole day at the pool,...swimming ard.. lazing in the sun... relaxing in the jacuzzi... The swimming pool was beri nicely designed.. we even had cocktails and our lunch by the pool..

We saw 2 giant boardgames at the hotel, and couldn't resist taking pics wif these...

After spending the whole day at the swimming pool, we went back to the cabana and had a nice shower... both mi and ah dar got so tanned after the whole day in the sun... now i look like a cooked lobster....After resting a while, we decided to go to the resort restaurant for our dinner...we chose the seats facing the sea... but it was so dark then, couldn't see much aniway... hehe...

We ordered 2 cocktails, chicken wings, lamb chop and tortilas wif beef... People always say eating in Bintan is expensive, now i noe y, juz these few dishes cost near SGD$70... lol...

After dinner, we strolled back to our cabana and rested for the nite.

3rd day - Saturday 17th of March

Woke up at 9am and went for breakfast, after breakfast we went for a stroll along the beach, and went back to the cabana shortly to do some packing up.. Juz as we were preparing to check out, we had a horrifying discovery, there was a big centipede inside our cabana , juz on the floor right beside the sofa seat.... and the scary thing was juz minutes ago.. i was seating at the sofa seat... i could have gotten bitten by it... ah dar was the 1st one to spot it, which he immediately set out to "destroy" it... It was really big, not like the usual kind we see ard in Singapore, wonder wat it feeds on in Bintan... =X

After destroying the centipede, we zoomed out of the cabana and went to check out, i was so worried that there might be more ard.... While waiting for the hotel transfer bus to arrive.. i did "bo liao" stuff again... Ta da~~
We left the resort at 1.30pm and reached the BBT at ard 1.50pm... Mi and ah dar walked around a bit and even went to the Original Bandung Factory Outlet to shop shop ard.... After getting a pair of nice jeans for ah dar, we went to the small cafe inside BBT and ate some stuff while waiting for our ferry.
We left Bintan at 4.30pm Singapore time, and reached Singapore at 5.30pm... after reached Singapore, we went to pick up ah dar's car.. accompanyed him to his workplace, settled some stuff, and went for dinner~, after dinner.. it's home sweet home~
